Twas The Day Before The Day Before Christmas

And internet idiots started to really get on my nerves. One tends to get tired of hearing the same old same old excuses spouted day in and day out, 20 times a day usually. Despite that, today was probably one of the best days I have ever had in my life. You’d love to know why, but that’s an entirely different post that needs to have photos included and I’m too darn tired.

I made fudge for the second time in my life today. I’m now convinced and so is everyone who tastes it, that I should start my own bakery/candy shop. I just rock like that. I guess that’s the reward of being a fat girl as so many love to call me all the time. At least I have a marketable skill.

And in keeping with grand tradition I shopped today. It started to snow like crazy while I was in the store. It also was colder than anything I could come up with a cute little analogy for. I froze my rear end off in preparation for tomorrow. Speaking of which, we’ll leave at 4:30 t0 start our family get together so I’ll be here all day baking, cleaning, decorating cookies, and WORKING ON MY SITE!

YAY! Speaking of the site. I’m going to be blocking ip’s like crazy. Simply, if I don’t like you kiss my ass and use a proxy. If you are a pain in my butt then I can be a pain in yours as well. I’m also pretty sick of having crazy middle aged men visiting my site 40 plus times a day.

Engagement Rings

Earlier this summer Kevin mentioned that we could get new wedding rings if I wanted. Of course I do! Then I looked around to see if I could find anything I liked. I started to look online at different diamonds to get a feel of what I would want. I was impressed with the James Allen website and the amount of choices they have. They actually have a wedding and anniversary collection so I don’t have to pick from just wedding sets. In fact I really like the three stone diamonds, I hear it represents past, present, and future. That’s pretty perfect for 10 years of marriage.

The site is easier to use then most I’ve been to. I usually have to weed through pages to get to just one or two choices for anniversary bands. James Allen has everything listed right on the front page and easy to find. Customer service is easy to get to if you have any questions concerning your order or choices in engagement rings. Choosing a forever diamond can be overwhelming and they are there to help you.

Completely Exhausted

I have cleaned, shopped, baked a cake, wrapped presents, and went out to eat until I’ve exhausted myself completely. Tonight we had our Christmas thing with Kevin’s family. There are not many of us so we went out to eat and then came to our house to do presents. Sydney was pretty excited. I started to get really, really tired towards the end. I felt bad yawning all the time, but hey I’m tired.

Not I’m so tired my eyes hurt. I can’t keep them open, but I have things to do on the net so duty calls. Well, at least for about 5 more minutes. Tomorrow it will be a whole lot more of the same. I’ll be baking goodies, Kevin will need to finish up shopping for me. Of course Monday is Christmas Eve and we’ll head to my aunt’s house. Tuesday it’s my grandma’s then my mom’s house. All followed of course by the big Christmas Morning here.

I’d work on the new site, but I can’t find a graphic I want to use. For about 10 minutes I combed the graphics at istock, but I was so preoccupied I couldn’t find anything. If anyone sees anything just super cool, cute, and lovely, show it to me. I’m just too damn tired to even try.

Watches

I wanted to buy Kevin a new watch for Christmas. Sure, he just purchased a new watch that has his favorite football team and Super Bowl winners on it, but he still needs one of other occasions. He can wear that with team gear, he also needs something to wear daily. A
Technomarine watch
would be great for his everyday use and I really like the look of them too.

Crazy Is As Crazy Does

Or at least when you are talking about Angela.

by RV, on December 22 2007 @ 7:54 am

Someone please explain how this “Yes, IP addresses show where you currently are, NOT where you were born…” makes ANY damn sense. To me it just makes her look even more dense than she already makes herself out to be. What the hell are you trying to prove with that statement, Kry”stale”?

This idiot has been harassing people on Michael’s site for quite some time now, anonymously. So why exactly is RV’s gravatar showing up with John Medcalf’s photo now? I mean either you don’t have time for it and you are done with it or you are going to bitch at people Angela. Don’t be a pussy and do it anonymously. Perhaps you accidentally let that happen so you’d be talked about again? Career, family, and attempting to bring yet another child into this world not fulfilling enough for you anymore?

Nike Golf

This year Nike golf products are all the rage at my house. My mom got Kevin a new golf bag, of course Nike. She just let him have it because he saw it sitting in the living room. Turns out she got a really good deal on this bag that originally cost around $250.00. So we’ve been looking around all types of golf products by Nike that he can have as accessories.

Stolen Christmas Goods

I was surfing sites today and found this. I decided to steal it from the site and do it myself. Feel free to steal it as well.

1. Wrapping or gift bags?
both. I started out wrapping and after about 6 rolls I went with gift bags.

2. Real or artificial tree?
I’ve barely ever had a real tree. Maybe once or twice. So I have to say artificial.

3. When do you put up the tree?
After Thanksgiving weekend normally.

4. When do you take the tree down?
I don’t know, when the notion hits me. It was probably January 7th or so last year.

5. Do you like egg nog?
No, but I love things flavored with it.

6. Favorite gift received as a child?
My 8th grade year of school I got everything for Christmas. I mean everything. It was the first year CD players were popular and they were quite expensive and huge still, I got one. I got a huge waterbed which my friends and I put to good use for sleepovers. I pretty much had the room to hang out in after that year.

7. Do you have a nativity scene?
No.

8. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?

Chia Pet.

9. Mail or email Christmas cards?
Mail.

10. Favorite Christmas Movie?
Christmas Vacation of course.

13. Clear lights or colored on the tree?
Clear only.

14. Favorite Christmas song(s)?
U2, It’s Christmas Baby Please Come Home and I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas.

15. Travel at Christmas or stay home?

16. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Well, dancer, dancer, prancer, vixen, rudolph. Heck I don’t know.

17. Angel on the tree top or a star?
Star.

18. Open the presents Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?
Christmas morning although it’s so hard to wait.

19. Most annoying thing about this time of year?
People who stop and have conversations in the middle of the isles with their long lost best friends who they haven’t talked to for 14 years.

20. Do you decorate your tree in any specific theme or color?
Very, very colorful.

21. What do you leave for Santa?
Uh nothing. This year, cookies.

22. Least favorite holiday song?
Anything that is really sad. Christmas is not about sadness.

23. Favorite ornament?
I don’t have one.

24. Family tradition?
We used to visit the live Nativity every single year when I was a kid. We’d walk up to the church to see it. It amazed me. For some reason it’s always snowed out now that we have a daughter.

Over It

I’m so over today. I could just get in bed and pretend it never happened. In the last couple of days I have been exposed to more than my fair share of crazy 2-5 year olds. Add some over 5 year old boys in there. If it’s not parents letting them run wild in the toy section of you pick a store’s name, then it’s just them acting up right in front of their parents who are too busy chit chatting with their BFF and not watching the 6 combined kids they have. Or, it’s the one that they throw in the cart and ignore so they can scream for hours.

Today it was my own child. She went nuts at Meijer. All I wanted was to finish up some grocery shopping, fair enough. We went over the rules when we got there. I also said if she was good I’d buy her that film she’s desperate to get those grubby little hands on. She succeeded in paying attention when I said her name, but she wanted to skip every other square and run into carts. Some lady was offended because after about the 14th time I told her to get back here, quit walking that way, and older ladies remarked honey don’t get hit I said………..I hope you get smacked with a cart so you’ll finally knock it off. Hey, consequences.

The lady looked offended. I wanted to tell her to go suck a donkey egg. Needless to say we didn’t get all we needed. By normal standards she probably is a normal every day four year old, but today I can’t handle it. I’m frazzled for some reason. I started to get sick to my stomach as well so I was kinda glad to head home. I wanted to puke.

For the most part my day has been touch something, watch it fall apart. For my grand finale I dropped an entire can of Coke in my purse. So screw you today, I’m over you.

Jewel Box Homes

I just found the best site that caters to my life in so many ways. You all know I am constantly complaining about my small house. It is really small, I’m not just complaining. I have two bedrooms that are quaint, a small bathroom, a very small kitchen, and a decent sized living room. The property itself is pretty big compared to the house though. The Jewel Box Home gave me a new perspective on small home living.

I read the site owners story and she is absolutely right, I too am suffering from Big House Envy. Two other things that she mentioned, the ease of small house living for one. If I had a larger house could I keep it clean the way I want to? I’m not sure? Not with a four year old at least. Wouldn’t a larger home mean more belongings to keep after? More stuff to pick up off the floor? I really do like the ease of maintaining a small space.

Secondly she mentions the financial benefits. Bigger houses require bigger mortgages. With the thoughts of adoption looming, why would I want to take on such a bigger payment and save less per month? Sure, eventually I want more space, but while I’m here I might as well appreciate it for what it is. A Jewel Box Home. Reading this blog reaffirmed that just because it’s a small space doesn’t mean I can’t decorate and take pride just like it was the White House.

My favorite part of this site is the decorating section. Reading about the basics I’m learning more that I ever really knew about decorating. I thought it had to do with pretty things sat about. Not true, functionality is a must. I’m paying attention to the sections about lighting, furniture, and color because I want my small home to be all it was meant to be. If you have a small home this site is an endless source of topics you must read about. If you don’t have a small home, the decorating and entertaining tips are still worth reading!
