What’s Your IQ?

Wow. I thought I was pretty up to the minute on all things debt related. I got a huge reality check tonight. I took the Bills IQ and my score is only a 74%. That’s a C. When you stop and consider that this is my life, my savings, my investments, and retirement then a C leaves a lot to be desired. The good news is that Bills IQ has a ton of tools to help me get my IQ up, when it comes to financial matters that is.

This quiz is perfect for people of all ages. Whether you are just starting out or close to retirement age. If you are just starting out you do have the advantage because you’ll see where you are going wrong with your current train of thought. Maybe you need some help with Debt consolidation to get you on track monthly? BillsIQ can do that.

If you are close to retirement age it could help you make some really important changes that make all the difference in the long run. You could retire quicker and not struggle like so many others do monthly with Debt relief. I realized that I need to get on the ball with wills and insurance matters and most importantly I need a budget to track where my money goes monthly.

For me, I’m willing to take any type of Debt help I can get. If it gets me closer to my ultimate goals. I’m so stuck on moving right now I even wrote a poem about my small house blues, ok so my poetry skills might be right on par with my debt IQ!

Bigger Nicer House I Want
Credit card debt Stops Me
Consolidate debt To Change It?

Let’s recap what I learned. You’ll never be as on top of your credit as you think you are because the world of financials is always changing. If you need Credit counseling it’s better to get it now then to file Bankruptcy later. Lastly, BillsIQ is always there to help with whatever services you need and to keep you educated on the issues regarding your credit.

Donate School Supplies

Every year my aunt’s bank does a Fill The Bus promotion. They collect items that can be donated to the local schools and try to Fill A Bus with them. They asked the school system what they were in most need of this year. They said underwear, socks, and shoes. Wow. I hadn’t even really thought of that. My grandmother has been buying things for the bus off and on since sales started to come on. One of the ladies got Stride Rite to donate 200 pairs of Keds shoes. After looking at the sales papers today I’m going to be picking up some things when I finish Sydney’s back to school shopping. I’m going to let her put them in the bus, it’s a learning lesson as well. I always take any opportunity I can to teach her about less fortunate or children who live in orphanages, etc. I’m going to purchase some Hannah Montana things as I know most people get the cheapest stuff to put into these donations. I’d like there to be “cute” things in there as well for some lucky kids!

Moving A Nation

Last year I mentioned I wanted to take part in the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk. I even donated money to a local team, but when I looked into it the entire thing seemed to fizzle out. This year I have more motivation. I’m looking to improve my overall health and hope that by the time the walk comes around I’ll be in great shape and not afraid to take part. Last year I was afraid. Afraid that I wouldn’t make it the entire way or that I would get too out of breath. Stupid little things when you look at the bigger picture of what this walk is about.
