I was reading about the USA Network’s new original series In Plain Sight and it looks so good. After reading the character bios I started to fantasize that my job was as important as that of Mary Shannon. I wish, but I can definitely relate to her. Take a look at this.

“To help facilitate her witnesses’ often rocky transition into their new lives, she has to wear many hats at any given time: mother, therapist, best friend, maid of honor, priest, rabbi, marriage counselor, employment agent, bodyguard, and occasionally, homicide detective. As far as Mary’s loopy mother, Jinx, and her younger sister, Brandi, are concerned, Mary’s job as a Federal Marshal consists of lounging around the courthouse with her trivia-loving partner, Marshall, and serving the occasional warrant.”

I feel the same way! I may just look like a mom, but honestly I do all those same things with the exception of looking at dead bodies! I’m a mother, therapist, best friend, maid of honor, marriage counselor, and I’m definitely the bodyguard of this 5 year old. I’ve also been known to help the occasional person get a job or talk over religious concerns with friends and family. Yet, to everyone else in the world I sit on my rear, eat bon bon’s, and watch daytime televion!

The show premiered on June 1st on the USA Network. I’m going to check and see if I can catch a repeat of that and then watch it Mondays from now on. I was drawn to it because I love Mary McCormack who plays the lead character I was just describing. She’s a great actress so I’m looking forward to watching.

The show is just annoying me this year. I like Ramie. That’s about it right now. The move to sing songs from the 1960’s was a bad one. All the songs sucked really, really bad. I don’t know why, they could have picked better I suppose. They seemed to be so freaking boring both nights. I didn’t care for the girl who did Spinning Wheel. She made it her own, yes. However, she really isn’t a strong singer at all. There is another girl who is pretty solid but I can’t even remember name. I do like Syesha. So you see, the one who I can’t remember her name, that’s the problem. Forgettable.

So if you are living under a rock and have no clue, Survivor Micronesia premiered last night. This season they are pitting the former cast members against fans of the show. In the first challenge the fans beat the former cast members sending one of them home. Jonny Fairplay asked to go home so he could be with his 7 months pregnant girlfriend. Although I’m not sure exactly what his angle is on this yet I’m amazed by two things. The first being that he went home and didn’t want to stay around a few more days just to get America hating him again, for attention purposes. The second thing is that he actually got someone to let him climb on them and make a child, a former America’s Next Top Model contestant at that. She sure has some high standards!

I go back to stupid doctor tomorrow. I’m hoping he doesn’t manage to kill me over the weekend. The second medication that I was on is still making me sick. Which is what I originally thought was making me sick. If he insists I stay on it tomorrow, I’m searching for a new doctor. One that preferably understands PCOS and how it does things to female bodies.

I can’t believe that Abby slept with Dr. Baldy. Ok he’s hot I’ll admit that. Almost all bald men are hot, but I didn’t see this coming. My husband however pegged it. I can’t believe it happened so soon though. I don’t really like Luca so I’m not dying for his return next week. Plus, he needs a hair cut. Speaking of hair cuts, I’m going to get mine chopped completely off this weekend. I’m sick to death of it. I need a change, an actual style, some color! Woot!

And lastly. I like being talked about, I really, really do. I also like how people keep digging themselves in the same old hole of…Look at me! Look at me! Nobody has talked about me for about a week so I’m making stuff up. Honestly, I don’t know if the stuff is made up or not, but it really shows the pattern of who is obsessed with who doesn’t it? I mean Anna is hot and all, but damn give it a rest.

Kevin’s watching the news listening to them talk about the election results. I’m pretty bummed that Bart Peterson got beat for mayor, but that’s not why I’m writing. I could go on and on about the election, but I’m here to gripe about Hollywood and the writers strike.

I was waiting to hear what they had to say about the shows that will be taken off because of the writers strike. We assume it’s going to be the small shows that are new and being written a week at a time just in case they bomb. However, deep down inside I am worried that Heroes will be taken off until further notice. Then, I’m not sure if I could function properly. I mean is Peter going to figure out how to use those abilities again? Is Hiro dead? What in the world is going to happen to Nickie and is DL dead or alive?

So yeah the cable box just messed up so I’m going to convince myself that it’s something like Moonlight that’s going to be canned or postponed and not Heroes or ER. Oh or Kitchen Nightmares, because frankly BBC is running reruns and I’m starting to get a little bitchy about it.

We got the movie 300 in the mail today. I am just not interested in this at all. We watched something last week on The History Channel about the real story. The last stand of the 300 I think it was called. While interesting, the movie just looks dull and dreary to me. I was hoping for something animated or fun. We’ve got 4 movies from Blockbuster.com sitting here, I’m not sure why the keep sending us another one I think your limit is 3.

We’ve got Shooter feat. Marky Mark without the Funky Bunch. I’m interested in this one. I think I’ll watch it tomorrow. I have like 6 episodes of Private Practice to watch. I’m tempted to delete them all and just forget it. Obviously if it hasn’t held my attention at this point, it’s not going to.

Actually I think I’ll see what’s on at the movies and go to one tomorrow. I’d go Sunday, but this is apparently the day that the world stops turning for 4 quarters so Tom Brady can be a prick at the RCA Dome.

I don’t know why I love Chuck so much. Maybe it’s because he’s got that whole nerdy thing going on. Wait, I love the show Chuck not the guy. I don’t find him sexy in any way what so ever. He’s cute, sure. Not sexy. The show is awesome though. I love that he works for the Nerd Herd and drives the little Nerd Herd car. I love that the NSA agent Casey works there and has absolutely no clue how to interact with normal customers. The best friend, priceless and stupid.

And hello? Captain Awesome? Greatest nickname ever. The whole Wiener job for Sarah is pretty cute too. She burns corn dogs and boys run in and tell her they love her and take pics of her with their little phones. Honestly I think that they got it right with this trio of shows. Chuck, Heroes, and then Journeyman. I was totally fulfilled last night when I was done watching tv!

The bully is at it again. The other day I got completely crappy with her and the newest recruit she has working for her. My child was saying bye to them and they were completely crappy with her. One made a crappy noise at her and the other just stared at her blankly. They were both in time out so the mood I guess should have been expected. What I expected though was one of the workers to say you and you, where are your manners at?

What I should have done was say hey you, hey you too, my kid is saying bye to you and that’s not very nice to ignore her or make noises at her. That’s bad manners ladies. Or something along those lines. It might not be my business, but I’m sick of this kid picking on everyone. So what do I do? While I’m signing her out I look both of them right in the face and say WHAT IS WRONG WITH THOSE TWO? They looked as if someone had actually paid attention to them!

I can’t help but feel sorry for them, but enough is enough. I’m going to have to talk to the director next week. I saw the bully run for a toy today as I was leaving and snatch it from Sydney. I almost fetched her up and took her out of there, but I know she has to get used to the real world.

 I just can’t get over all these nasty restaurants in the United States. I mean they are nasty in the British version as well, but come on do we have health inspectors. What bothers me is that they know he is coming. Imagine what it was like before he got there. They have to attempt to clean up somewhat. Don’t they?

What is really, really scary was that next week’s episode is going to be the nastiest and dirtiest kitchen ever! Even dirtier than Dillon’s was. That’s impressive in itself. Even Chef Ramsay was covering his mouth because he was about to puke. They were holding up some type of black gunk that looked like soup. It probably used to be hamburger meat or something.

Sydney has been in love with Little Bill ever since she watched him on one of those little Nick Jr dvd’s that show one episode of about 15 shows. It had Max and Ruby on it as well. I had seen Max and Ruby on Nick Jr before, but never Little Bill. I purchased her another volume of that dvd just to have another episode of Little Bill. I even went on Ebay to find out if there were any dvd’s out there or anything. Nothing really.

Then Nick Jr added Little Bill to their line up twice a day. I think it might rerun, but who cares? I’d rather her watch that than anything else. Little Bill is awesome and was created by Bill Cosby for anyone living under a rock. Sydney sings Guppie Guppie Guppie, I wanna swim like a Guppie! She laughs at the little commercial where Bill Cosby takes Little Bill’s hat and says that big man is funny!

Makes me kinda sad for my childhood when I was watching Cosby all the time. Oh and Picture Pages! Oh how I miss the Picture Pages!
