Dude, Your Car Is Loud

I had a little scare today. I was at a drive up window and heard the worst screeching ever. It was obvious it was from one of the vehicles, but I wasn’t sure if it was mine or not. I kept listening to see if it got lower and it did, it had to be the van behind me. I was starting to sweat it because I have no clue where to buy car parts or anything like that. I really didn’t want to pay a ton of money for a mechanic either. Boy was I relieved when the guy pulled around behind me and the sound was so loud I could tell it was definitely him and not me!

Already Planning For Next Year

As you probably already realized I shopped my little heart out this weekend. Yes, I’ve not managed to blog because I’ve been so tired from all the shopping! I treated myself to some new things like bamboo shades, big fluffy towels, and slipper socks that feel so soft you want to curl up and crawl into them. With deals like the ones I found how I could I really resist these things? I honestly have to make a plan next year with a list to remind me of things. I thought of so many ways I could have gotten better or more deals after the fact that it was just crazy! One year to plan for next year!

I’ve Shopped, I May Drop

Someone pass the Orovo please. I’m so full and so bloated from being full that I’m miserable. Here’s something we can’t figure out. My grandmother, mother, and I went shopping today. We were all so thirsty that we could not get enough to drink and could never quench that thirst. I’m still feeling that and it’s almost midnight. What gives? Was it the thrill of shopping? I also found that even though I brushed my teeth at 3:30 am I felt gross all morning long? There’s just something icky about standing in long lines and being out that early!

Yawn

Oh I’m so tired. It started with Thanksgiving dinners and visiting. That’s enough to make you so tired that you want to sleep an entire day to recoup. We hit the hospital since my grandma is out there so that was extra time spent on the road visiting with family. It’s so hard to deal with kids at the hospital so we didn’t stay too long. An hour is about her limit, and ours when with her.

Compound all that on top of me cooking and I’m extra tired. Of course I shopped today for like 8 straight hours so I was completely beat when I was done. I had a nap that was about 2 hours long and I’m about to go to bed because I’m still pooped. Sadly, I’ll have to get up early and be on the road to Georgetown, KY to meet Sydney’s sister, aunt, cousin, grandma, grandpa, and great grandma for a get together. They’ll give us her Christmas presents.

By the end of this weekend I’m going to have to curl up in a ball and sleep for 3 days.

Saving On Vacuums

This is going to sound really corny and it’s going to make you go, gosh you can tell she’s a housewife/mom can’t you? Last year I got a vacuum for Christmas. It’s one of my favorite presents ever. I was dealing with a junk model before, the kind you get for a few dollars at the local mart and then it breaks on you a few months later. I’m so happy to have a machine that really works by picking up everything we throw at it, is reliable, and is bagless so we’re doing our part to help eliminate that waste.

I have two cousins who moved into their own places this year and I was thinking that they would love to get a vacuum as well. We all have to clean right? It seems like a perfect gift for those two as I make out my Christmas List this year. I’m also looking for discounts any way I can get them so I did some research and came upon EzVacuum.com, possibly the largest vacuum cleaner and accessory dealer I’ve seen on the net. This site has everything you could possibly imagine in every model and make.

Right now the site is offering vacuum cleaners bags belts filters brushrolls machines all at a discount of 10%. Simply log onto the site and when you’re done shopping enter the code EZVCAC10 to apply the discount on any order over $20.00. If you have someone on your list that already owns a quality machine you can still save money buy purchasing them vacuum cleaner cleaning supplies and accessories.

How The Times Change

It wasn’t a month ago I was complaining about not having any drive to do anything with my websites. I didn’t even know what to do with a layout for this site. I’ve gotten completely motivated to do Christmas themed layouts. It’s odd because Fall is usually what inspires me, but not right now. I’m in love with snow, shopping scenes, trees, and baubles. It’s my goal to get everything all Christmasy before Thanksgiving so I can launch some designs between Thanksgiving night and Black Friday. First stop? Upgrading Frenchkitten.net to wordpress 2.6.something or other.

Odd Fruit

We saw some odd shaped fruits today. I said it’s a pomegranate. I told Kevin how I loved the scent of the fruit and I loved the taste of everything that was flavored with it. Then I told him that I tried an actual pomegranate once that I purchased and eating the inside was so unbearably sour I could not stand it. I started to wonder if that piece wasn’t ripe or if I did something wrong? I wonder if you can plant Pomegranate trees and get the fruit from them without really knowing when the best time is for them to be ripe? I’d love to dry the seeds and make things out of it the fruit even if they never get any sweeter to eat off the branch!

Walmart Shopping

Kevin was off work today and we went out to breakfast and then grocery shopping. We hit the Walmart because it was on the same side of town we were on. So as we are checking out, and keep in mind I’m in pain because of my back right now, I notice something weird. Some of the magazines are turned to where the back cover is showing.

I walk over to another isle to get a magazine I want. I see more of this going on. So I see that it’s not just one magazine it’s all of them in that spot. What is going on? I turn one over. OH MY GOSH!!!!! It’s the People with Obama on the cover. Someone has turned all of them over in the isles. What is going on here? Do you really have that much time on your hands people?

I get back to the cash register and announce that some DOUCHEBAG has turned all the Obama mags to where the back cover is showing. I suspect it’s an employee because honestly who has that much time? So the cashier laughs like she knows who did it. I announce that if you have that much time on your hands then the real problem is just that. She just looks somber.

Sometimes You Read Too Much

Lately I’ve been reading really silly articles about things I’d never consider doing. Today for instance, I read about how to make the best compost pile from your plants. I don’t dig my plants up and cover them or mulch them. I pitch them in the trash and that’s if I actually even empty the pot and it doesn’t crack. The magazines seem to be full of suggestions for me on things to do this holiday season. How to make the most of every single ounce of my turkey and make every family member happy without pumping alcohol right into their veins. How about giving me an article about something useful like how to lose weight?

Ready, Set, Go Nowhere

Well it’s all about Christmas. We skipped right over Thanksgiving, almost forgot Halloween and started putting out trees and ornaments in the stores. They’ve got me. They geared me right up and I’m ready. I’m ready to spend money, decorate, buy useless crap, etc. Only one problem. I don’t want to skip over Thanksgiving. I love it. I also love that day after when I get all the kick ass deals on stuff that is completley useless.

So I’m left reading ads that pimp out toys that I’m tempted to purchase. I’m left looking at trees that look too good to be true at the local mart. I’m trying to hold off. I’m trying to wait for the big sales and I’m trying not to rush the holidays past me. I’m only going to live so long and I don’t want to miss any minute of it.

I wish the stores would hold off until at least November 1 to start the Christmas push.
