Vacation, All I Ever Wanted
I had a spat with my mom earlier this week about vacations. She doesn’t understand that to have an actual “second honeymoon” for me and my husband would mean taking our 5 year old with us. She got mad like she was offended and said well I can take her. I said can you take her for 3, 4, or 5 days all on your own mom? Well, no. She admitted she would have to switch off with people.
Then I said, see what I mean. I wouldn’t feel like anyone was able to do it. What if everyone else has a catastrophe and could not help her? What if people backed out or pulled their usual crap and made other plans? Or worse, took Sydney on these other plans with them and half watched her. I’d worry myself to death. My grandma backed up my fears, but did act as if we might work on formulating a plan to get my husband and I some alone time in the future.
I guess for now it’s off to check out Orlando vacations, something that is 5 year old friendly!
